Metal Detector requires a magnetic sensor on your device to work correctly. Today it is embedded in many mobile devices.

If your device has a magnetometer, you need to enable it in the browser settings, since it is disabled by default. To enable the magnetometer, visit chrome://flags (just enter this in the address bar) and enable Generic Sensor Extra Classes.

Metal Detector helps you to detect metal objects (steel, iron) around you. When a metal object is near to you, the magnetic field level will increase.

Usage of Metal Detector is really simple. Open the application, and move it around you.

Sometimes it may be necessary to calibrate the sensors before use. To calibrate your sensors, point your device up towards the sky and twist it in a figure 8 motion. If you cannot solve it in this way, rotate your device along 3-axis.

The accuracy of Metal Detector depends on your device.

In addition to metals, the magnetic sensor reacts to electronic devices (televisions, computers), since these devices emit electromagnetic waves.

Note that gold, silver and copper coins cannot be detected since they are classified as non-ferrous metal and so, they have no magnetic field.

The magnetic field level (EMF) in nature is about 49 μT (micro tesla). If any metal is near, the value of magnetic field will increase.
